Born out of a practice that interrogates the human condition and mental health in parallel, illustrator Andrés Suárez delivers images that prove altogether familiar, largely due to their depiction of the commonplace – and the sinister undertones that often subtend it. While community is regularly invoked, notions of loneliness or corporeal separation mark what would otherwise be jovial; a subject sits alone, bodies stand apart.
was born in 1993 and in Seville. He has always lived in Seville, studying industrial design and graphic design. In graphic design studies he discovered the discipline of illustration and it has been where he has developed most of his work. Another of the disciplines he discovered in these studies was photography, a tool that he is still working on in parallel with illustration. All contributions from Andrés Suárez
