Market Terms & Conditions


1.1 The online service is currently fulfilled from our London location and Brooklyn locations, depending on geographical proximity to the recipient. Most orders to Europe, Asia, and Australia will come from London, while most orders throughout the United States and South America will be sent from Brooklyn.

1.2 We pack and post all orders ourselves, dispatching orders as quickly as we can. We are a small operation, so we apologize for any delay. Please rest assured that we are working to get your order to you as soon as possible.

1.3 We ship all orders in standard Royal Mail packaging, which is bubble-wrapped on the inside for safety. If you would like a different kind of packaging, please do not hesitate to reach out.

1.4 All orders will be dispatched through Royal Mail unless otherwise dictated.

1.5 We are working to integrate our online shop with fulfillment service If and when we make this transition, these terms will be changed accordingly, but such a transition may result in unforeseen delays, for which we apologize.


2.1 Stripe and PayPal are our two integrated payment options, accepting Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

2.2 If there have been any payment mistakes, please alert us and we will do our best to compensate you accordingly.

2.2.1 We can only work within the confines of the Stripe and PayPal platforms; if for an unforeseen reason we are unable to provide a refund due to platform restrictions, we apologize in advance.

2.3 Depending on the type of card used, there may be a conversion rate charged due to your card’s native currency. Unfortunately, there’s nothing we can do about that – despite being American nationals (and very supportive of our American readership), we are proudly based in the UK, thus using local currency.

Order confirmation

3.1 You will receive a confirmation email shortly after placing your order. Please check the email and if you have any questions or concerns, email us at right away.


4.1 Depending on your location, we will use the shipping method that prices closest to our standard 7 GBP shipping fee.

4.1.1 Within the UK, this often translates to tracked and signed shipment, while for the time being much the same applies to continental Europe.

4.1.2 Within the United States, postage varies by region, as does classification of our standard parcel size. We recognize that there ought to be standardization, but classification of a letter and a package varies from office to office; we will do our best to best approximate appropriate postage.

4.1.3 Elsewhere, this may result in shipping being sent without a tracking number. With that said, we aim to provide tracking numbers where possible; the aim of the flat rate is to achieve some kind of equity – for some shipments it’s a little more, for others, a little less, and hopefully everyone gets tracked and signed shipping. However, at times shipping rates makes this simply impractical.

4.2 If and when we transition to a fulfilment service, these terms may be changed, and we will update them accordingly. We cannot speak to shipping methods we are yet unsure of.

4.3 Britain’s exit from the EU will likely affect shipping rates – we intend to adjust our shipping rates accordingly, but do not pretend to know how this change will be reflected in postage rates.


5.1 For the time being, we are not yet registered for VAT due to the freeze on administrative proceedings due to COVID-19. As a result, we cannot legally charge VAT.

5.1.1 Once we are registered for VAT, this will likely make little difference to our average customer – books and magazines are zero-rated in the United States, the UK, and many countries in Europe. However, any ancillary items will likely go up in final price accordingly.

5.1.2 However, in accordance with the regulatory shift, there may still be a VAT charge – even if it amounts to 0.00 – on receipts.


We will take all reasonable care to ensure that the details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the website are correct at the time of publishing.
